Altice Labs: Image Projection and Innovation

Altice Labs relied on the PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS company and chose the SHOWGLASS model to demonstrate some of the projects under development at Future Labs - a laboratory that focuses on Portuguese technology.

To mark its 2nd Anniversary, Altice Labs organized an event in Aveiro, where several statistics of company growth were presented, at the most different levels and some projects highlighted nationally as well as internationally.

With recent advances in technologies such as NLP (Natural Language Processing), virtual assistants have become a popular interaction format, which is now available through multiple devices and formats.

In this line, the demonstration of interaction with a realistic 3D Avatar (Didimo) appeared, being all the animation, the body movement and the synchronization (lipsync) with the chat carried out dynamically, in real time.

The presentation of this technology was made through SHOWGLASS developed by PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS, which uses a special quasi-holographic projection technique.

By placing an interactive screen on the glass where the image is projected, it is possible to make SHOWGLASS an interactive platform with different functionalities.

With these characteristics, it is easy to see that SHOWGLASS is specially designed for all kinds of applications where the trinomial impact, size and interactivity are elevated to its maximum exponent.
