Management and registration of loads and unloads for IKEA with self-service kiosks from PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS
With a great impact on the entry of raw materials for production or for export, entrance management, pier management and visitor management (ie, access control) are fundamental for any logistics area.
In this regard, the Swedish multinational company, IKEA, dedicated to the production and retail sale of furniture, household appliances, decorative products and food, resorted to PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS to manage/control gatehouses and visits registration, entry/exit of vehicles at the loading and unloading of trucks.
The management of the loading and unloading docks, the assistance of the drivers, the entry/exit records of vehicles and goods were automated using the technological solutions of PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS, with multimedia kiosks APOLO models, equipped with Clusterwall software.
ClusterWall: Access Control
Clusterwall is the ideal solution for any sector. Fully customizable, the platform makes it easy for people, groups and organizations to connect and collaborate.
In this case, the PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS' ClusterWall allows both truck drivers on the piers, as well as employees and visitors to IKEA stores, to login, that is, the entry registration. After this procedure, the installed kiosks print a QR-Code for access to the IKEA facilities.
The ClusterWall system makes it possible to streamline and manage the IKEA visitor registration process and provide a safe and intuitive professional process. ClusterWall also allows the pre-registration of visits online.
Indeed, there are several features of ClusterWall for IKEA:
- Notification (of booking and check-in) via SMS and email to the employee and the user;
- Printing of visit labels with QR Code;
- Reading and validation through QR Code reader and turnstile activation.
APOLO model
Minimalist and elegant, the APOLO kiosk stands out for its versatility and its strong functional component and good ergonomic practices for the user. In addition, it ensures the management of entrances and exits from technical areas. This includes loading and unloading on truck quays, as well as controlling access within IKEA premises.
Integrated with ClusterWall, the APOLO kiosk lets you know who entered and left the IKEA loading and unloading facilities.
This type of technological solutions for access control for trucks and cargo vehicles brought a series of advantages to IKEA, firstly due to the speed of service and the control of entrances and exits, possible through this type of self-service kiosks.
- Reduction of waiting time;

Next, you must say whether you are a visitor with or without pre-registration.
Finally, you must identify the respective appointment, either through email, a code or telephone number.
