Mindelo Air: The Common-Use Self-service Kiosk for Airports
The MINDELO Air self-service kiosk, developed by PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS, is a kiosk focused on the CUSS - Common-Use Self-service - concept, which allows passengers to start the check-in and baggage delivery process for their flight without having to of waiting in long lines at airports.
The use of self-service equipment at airports has just responded to the increase in passenger numbers and challenges related to aircraft capacity restrictions. To face this problem, airports are looking to automate services in order to provide flexibility to passengers.

In addition to allowing you to start the flight check-in process, MINDELO Air was specially developed to speed up the baggage weighing and labeling process, with an integrated side scale and a bag tag system with tag printing.

The ergonomic design of MINDELO Air is the result of meticulous attention to passenger needs, ensuring it is comfortable and intuitive. Every aspect, from the height of the screen, the positioning of the keyboard for people with disabilities, the LED lights that indicate when users can use the passport reader or printer, everything has been carefully considered to provide an optimal user experience.
How Does It Work?
The kiosk check-in, luggage weighing and bag tag process works simply, including just four steps:
In the first step, users proceed to identify and identify their flight using the kiosk's passport reader.
In the second stage, users must weigh their luggage and, using the feedback given by the LED light integrated into the scale, proceed through the steps identified in the software.
The third step concerns confirming all the information collected by the self-service kiosk and finalizing the process.
In the fourth and final step, after completing the weighing process, the kiosk prints the tag(s) to place on the luggage.
