Ponto Mais Store Invests in PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS Self-Checkout Kiosks to Modernize the Payment Experience

PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS developed and implemented a self-checkout kiosk solution at the Ponto Mais building/construction materials store, owned by JRP, in Pombal.

This project aims to modernize the payment process, increase customer autonomy, and make the shopping experience faster, more efficient, and more convenient in a sector where speed of service is increasingly valued.

Custom-Designed Self-Checkout Kiosks

The installed kiosks correspond to the Casharmour CH6 model, custom-developed to meet the specific needs of the Ponto Mais store.

The solution allows customers to pay for their purchases completely independently, reducing queues and optimizing store flow.

  • Autonomous and fast payment, reducing queues and waiting times;
  • Flexible and efficient reading process, with integrated barcode reader;
  • Intuitive organization of the purchase, with two trays for products;
  • LED light signage, which improves flow management and usability of the kiosk;
  • Robust, tailor-made solution, prepared for demanding retail environments.

Each kiosk has two trays, one for placing products before scanning and another for products already registered, ensuring an organized and intuitive process. Item scanning can be done using an integrated scanner or a barcode reader built into the kiosk itself, offering flexibility and speed in product registration.

The system also includes card payment, a receipt printer for issuing a voucher at the end of the purchase, and a LED light system on top of the kiosk that indicates its operational status: green when available, yellow while in use, and red when unavailable. This visual detail contributes to better space organization and smoother use by customers.
