Out-of-home communication is becoming increasingly digital. In urban spaces, shopping malls, transportation, retail, businesses, and other high-traffic locations, traditional static supports are giving way to digital screens, digital totems, LED panels, and other Digital Signage solutions.
It is in this context that the concept of DOOH (Digital Out-of-Home) emerges, an area that combines outdoor communication, technology, and digital content to create more dynamic, flexible, and context-adapted communication channels.
In Portugal, DOOH has been gaining ground through different formats and environments, including street furniture, transportation, shopping malls, and other points of contact with the public.

What is DOOH?
DOOH (Digital Out-of-Home) refers to the use of digital media to present advertising, informational, or institutional content in outdoor spaces and other public environments.
Unlike traditional outdoor advertising, which is mainly based on static media, DOOH allows for the presentation of digital content that can be changed, scheduled, and managed remotely.
Among the most common formats are:
- Digital billboards;
- Outdoor digital billboards;
- LED panels;
- Digital billboards;
- Large format displays;
- Digital screens in street furniture;
- Digital solutions for transportation;
- Other digital signage media.
This diversity allows the medium to be adapted to the space, the audience, and the communication objective.
