With the progress of science and technology, we are witnessing a growth in digital solutions, which can be found at any time and anywhere in the daily lives of citizens. Ticket kiosks, or more commonly called TVM (Ticket Vending Machine), are an example of this and are increasingly common equipment.
As global markets change, the demand for new and updated trends, technologies, mergers and acquisitions becomes increasingly crucial to TVM growth. In this sense, TVM is an emerging market and can turn the “tide” of business around the world.
As a result, the overall TVM market is expected to show a higher growth rate in the coming years, largely due to the growing importance of the travel and tourism sectors, as well as the adoption of this equipment in public transport.
Future oriented and integrating the global concept of Smart Cities, TVM are, then, electronic or paper ticket kiosks. They are equipment that allows everyone to buy, autonomously, quickly and easily tickets, whether in train stations, subway stations, buses or even at the entrance of a park, museum or cinema.
These self-service kiosks provide autonomy to users and are characterized by differentiation and flexibility of control and reduction of both waiting time and the service itself.
Besides, these kiosks can integrate various types of components such as printer, card reader, webcam, keyboards, among other components that may vary according to the needs of customers and projects. In this sense, the big difference with the traditional means of payment is that, in this modality, it is the user himself who registers the service/product he wants to acquire, making it more autonomous and satisfied.
PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS solutions
In line with the modernisation of the various sectors of activity, PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS produces and develops ticket kiosks with the latest technology. Depending on the application and customer needs, different types of TVM have been developed. The ticket vending kiosks are, thus, configured with electronic payment systems for ticket emission, accepting several payment methods. The system can be comfortably operated through the display.
Multitasking is the EXOZ model, a ticket vending machine (TVM) chosen to integrate Parques de Sintra project. For this specific case, the EXOZ model was designed and developed by PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS to be used outdoors, with additional air conditioning and protection systems.
EXOZ was also chosen for the YELLOW BUS, in Lisbon. The sale of tickets was, thus, made through a ticket vending machine (TVM) or, more specifically, through the PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS self-service kiosk EXOZ touchscreen.
PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS has developed, for OTLIS and a complementary grouping of transport operators that provides interoperability services to the ticketing industry, the Kiosk VIVA, which allows to issue, renew and charge the Lisboa VIVA card on the spot, all in the same place and on a self-service basis. The model chosen for the development of this project was the EXDALI kiosk of PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS. Besides allowing users to become more autonomous, they are easy to use, making the user experience more pleasant and satisfactory.
The availability of information and this autonomous way of interacting with the new technologies is of central importance in all sectors of activity, especially in tourism.
To ensure quality and accuracy, all components and products are assembled by PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS’ qualified technical team, and constant quality tests are performed before TVM is delivered to the customer.
