With a major impact on the entry of goods for production or for the export of these goods, gate management, pier management and visitor management (i.e. access control) are fundamental to any logistics area.
Although it is considered simple the management of gates, piers or visits, the attendance of drivers, the registration of entry/exit of vehicles and goods and the queues can be automated with the technological solutions of PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS, such as multimedia kiosks and self-service equipment.
In fact, nowadays, multimedia kiosks allow the control and management of access, such as transport entrances and exits, whether for parking lots, private condominiums or organizations.
The management of gates, piers or visits is fundamental, whether we talk in terms of hygiene or security. In fact, according to a report by Mordor Intelligence, the access control market is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate – CAGR of 7,38% over the next six years.
With the growing adoption of IoT (Internet of Things), the consumer propensity to adopt solutions that increase the convenience of access controls will grow. Furthermore, as fraud and cyber attacks continue to exist, there is a need to strengthen security while reducing costs. And this need is evident in several industry sectors.
The advantages of access control solutions
Technological solutions for the control and management of entrance gates, piers and visitors bring a series of advantages, starting with the quickness in attendance and the control of entries and exits, possible through self-service kiosks. This ultimately results in increased security.
But there are several advantages that can be listed:
1 – Reduced waiting time
One of the purposes of multimedia kiosks is to reduce queues, both at the entrance and exit of establishments and organizations. There is also the possibility of choosing contactless equipment or equipment that can be used through mobile apps, which facilitates social distancing and people’s safety and convenience.
2 – Increased productivity
The increase in productivity also goes through digitalization and automation, evident in the digital billboards and multimedia kiosks of PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS which, among the various functions they accumulate, transmit information, advertising, alerts and transportation data, which facilitate the entire work process.
3 – Increased quality of services
Service quality is measured by how quickly and effectively an organization performs, hence the importance of technology.
4 – Availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week
The work systems that rely on digital processes and communications allow 24/7 operation of the gates and security, ensuring convenience and accessibility for all.
5 – Increased employee and customer satisfaction
Multimedia kiosks enable greater company efficiency and enhance the experiences of employees and customers and/or visitors.
