Smart Cities: Interactive digital billboard DOOH for Rovinj Tourism Office in Croatia
Travelling continues to be a great event for passionate tourists, who travel through unknown cities and countries.
Through an international business partner, the portuguese technology by PARTTEAM & OEMKIOSKS traveled this time to Rovinj, a city located in Croatia.
The Rovinj visitors can now access useful information about the city through an interactive digital billboard for outdoor- DOOH (Digital-out-of-Home).
Developed for impact, the REALITY digital billboard with 55" Procap touchscreen displays and paint protection (kiosk resistant to different atmospheric conditions) presents information on the main sights of the city:
- Cultural and historical attractions;
- Thematic parks;
- Museums;
- Art galleries;
- Gastronomy;
- Activities and events in the city;
- Contacts;
- Hotels, shops, cinemas, shopping malls, among other city services.
Crossing the two trends that are now prosper in the world - tourism and smart cities - managers need to identify the opportunities and challenges of new technologies, ensuring the quality of life of those who live and work in cities.
Nowadays, when tourists arrive at their destination, they expect the city to be ready to receive them. They want, for example, that the information is clear, that there is the offer of access to the Wi-Fi network of the city during their stay, do not want consequent queues in buying tickets and bad experiences.
